According to numbers published by ESPN and the Times-Picayune,
Deuce McAllister has reduced his 2008 salary to $2.4 million.
He received a portion of the $1 million signing bonus he was due
on April 15.
McAllister is due a $2 million roster bonus in 2009 however,
setting up another forced decision for the team next offseason.
The change puts his future with the Saints in doubt past this
season, while his 2008 season hit is reasonable for a player with
his knee injuries.
This year McAllister was scheduled to make $3.6 million in base
salary.
He is scheduled to make $3.2 million in base salary in 2009 in
addition to the roster bonus.
