A report in the Dallas Morning News quotes a former steroid dealer, who operation was raided by federal agents last year, in saying that OL Matt Lehr bought steroids, HGH and used masking agent before the 2006 season.

Jacobs was once the hub of a very large illegal steroid distribution ring. He says that Lehr used a masking agent: non-banned hair loss treatment drugs.

Lehr, signed by the Saints earlier this offseason, was suspended for four games after testing positive for steroids in 2006 while a member of the Falcons. He has played for the Cowboys, Falcons and Bucs.

Lehr's lawyer dismissed Jacobs claims and states that Lehr has not used and has passed NFL tests since his suspension.

Lehr is expected to compete for the starting job at center this season.
