The Dallas Cowboys are expected to announce the signing of defensive tackle La'Roi Glover to a five-year contract.
The Cowboys, desperate for talent on the defensive line, apparently beat out the Cleveland Browns for the services of Glover, a Pro Bowl starter in the past two seasons. The Saints did not renew Glover's option this offseason after he struggled against the run.
Glover's 2001 season didn't come close to his lead-leading 17 sacks in 2000, but the Saints didn't renew Glover's contract mainly because of its high $5.5 million figure.
Glover's new contract is expected to be a five-year, $22.5 million deal with a $6 million signing bonus.
