Saints To Pick 16th Overall in 2005 NFL Draft: 8-8 record has team picking in the teens again

With the non-playoff team draft order settled, the Saints are slotted with the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft.



The only other non-playoff team in the NFL with an 8-8 record is the Cincinnatti Bengals. But with a .465 opponent winning percentage to the Bengals' .543, the Saints claim the 16th spot and the Bengals claim the 17th.

The Saints have never picked with the 16th overall selection before in the NFL Draft.
