Thomas, Cundiff return to roster; Horn unable to practice

DT Hollis Thomas offiically returned to the 53-man roster, also kickoff specialist Billy Cundiff has been re-signed.

To make room for the two, DE Trevor Johnson was waived and veteran special teamer Fred McAfee was placed on injured reserve.

Notes: WR Joe Horn was not able to practice much on Tuesday because of the groin muscle injury that has haunted him for over a month. He is listed as questionable for now… QB Drew Brees and LT Jammal Brown were named AP All-Pro’s, the tops in the league. Quite an accomplishment for Brees, coming off major shoulder reconstruction, and Brown, who started his first games at left tackle this season… The Saints are being considered as the “host” team for a regular season NFL to be played in Europe next season, along with five other teams… Eagles CB Roderick Hood is expected to start for CB Lito Sheppard on Saturday because of Sheppard’s elbow injury suffered last Sunday. Hood was not active against the Saints on October 15, while Sheppard had two tackles, a pass defensed and an interception return of 29 yards… Even with 45-year old Bobby Petrino named as the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Sean Payton remains the youngest head coach in the NFC South. Payton, who turned 43 two weeks ago, is younger than Bucs HC Jon Gruden by more than four months…
