Saints LB Dan Morgan Retires, Again

LB Dan Morgan, having suffered yet another lower leg injury, has retired from the Saints during the offseason for the second summer in a row.

In addition to numerous concussions and an Achilles injury, Morgan has suffered multiple injuries in offseason workouts with the Saints the past two years.

The Saints entered May with three potential starters at weakside linebacker: holdover Scott Shanle, veteran Dan Morgan and rookie Stanley Arnoux. the Saints are now down to only Shanle, as Morgan has retired and Arnoux was lost in the rookie minicamp to an Achilles' tendon injury.

The Saints used the vacated roster spot of Dan Morgan to sign free agent OL Anthony Davis, once a starter a left tackle for Tampa Bay.
