Draft Spread Over Three Days

2010 will see a major change in the scheduling of our favorite weekend of the year - the NFL Draft.

The first round will now be primetime television, competing with whatever the rest of the country will be watching on Thursday night, starting at 6:30pm CST. In 2010, the draft will start on Thursday, April 22.

Rounds two and three will be shown Friday night, and the round four starts at 9am CST on Saturday morning continuing through all seven on the day.

This means that entering the lexicon of NFL Draftniks is the term "day three prospect". It also means the already derivative "prime time" prospect has a totally new and nondescript meaning.
