Malcolm Jenkins will report to Saints camp in Metairie on Monday, August 10 to sign his rookie contract.
The Saints' official website posted the announcement tonight.
Jenkins had missed all 14 practices of training camp so far, including Saturday's indoor scrimmage. He has fallen perhaps irrecoverably down the depth chart at cornerback as a result of the contract absence.
Jenkins had moved into an apartment in the New Orleans area and has been working out on his own while his representation negotiates with Saints Director of Football Administration Khai Harley.
The deal is reportedly a five year contract and was bracketed by contracts signed by picks above and below him in April's draft, both of which were also negotiated by Jenkins' agents Ben Dogra and Tom Condon. The deal is bracketed by Redskins LB Brian Orakpo and Texans LB Brian Cushing, expected to be between $10.435 and $12.1 million in guaranteed money and $18 to $20 million in total possible value.
