The Saints will join the rest of the NFL in announcing their practice squad today.
Practice squads change from week to week, oftentimes day to day in the NFL. All eight players on the squad practice with the team's regular season roster and make $5,200 per week. They are considered unrestricted free agents and can sign with any team, including the host team, with one caveat: a players signed off of another teams practice squad must count against the new team's 53-man roster for three weeks.
Players are only eligible to join the Saints practice squad who have less than two seasons accrued. QB Joey Harrington is not eligible to join the practice squad.
The Saints will reportedly sign former Mizzou quarterback and recent Redskins cut QB Chase Daniel.
