Notes: Team preps for Giant matchup

  • The Saints have had two weeks to study the Giants, and the game film must be daunting. New York demolished an Oakland team more completely even than the Saints' dismantling of Jamarcus and the Raiders in preseason.

  • The Saints' Week 7 opponents earned a thrilling win on Monday Night Football last night with their new starting quarterback, and have two weeks to study the Saints.

  • Reggie Bush starred in a TV commercial for St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital with his new best friend Anna, and shared some pictures from the set. He added, "It's very humbling to see a little 5 year old girl with so much pride and joy in a tough time in her life! She definitely taught me a lot!"

  • Over the weekend, via twitter, a couple current Saints looked into the Who Dat/Who Dey debate.

  • Former Saints lineman Ed King (1994-1997), a 16-game starter in 1996, is now an assistant coach in the CFL with the Columbus Lions.

  • The New Orleans Zephyrs minor league baseball team, who play in beautiful ballpark on the ground of the Saints' headquarters in Metairie, have changed their orange-toothed nutria logo to something more familiar to Saints fans and New Orleanians: a blue baseball-bat centered Fleur de Z.

  • Pierre Thomas wrote: "Big game against the Giants next week. I'm ready to hear the WHO DAT NATION ROCK THE DOME!!"
