Pre-Bye Tuesday Notes

  • Some neat statistics on Darren Sharper, the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, and his five-interceptions in four games start here.

  • Glenn Pakulak is a Redskin. Also, Paul Spicer is getting a tryout from the Falcons.

  • Bobby Hebert is happy to see the Saints score a defensive touchdown, but its a good thing his kids are for the most part grown up.

  • The Saints have a five-day weekend during their bye week, starting tomorrow. Also at the T-P, don't miss Jeff Duncan's excellent weekly film study article.

  • RB Mike Bell and the rest of the walking wounded of the Saints are expected to be healthy for their Week 6 tilt against the Giants, who are likely to be 5-0 coming into New Orleans. With Pierre Thomas running strong too, Week 6 will be the first week that those two runningbacks will be healthy at the same time. With Bush also ready to go, Lynell Hamilton will likely be inactive against the Giants.
