After surviving a cold, long and hard-hitting game against the Redskins in DC, the Saints got some good news after arriving home to a crowd of cheering Saints fans.
Usama Young wrote, "Saints fans are incredible! Thanks for all the love yall. Jus said hey to everybody at the airport. Stay focused"
The Vikings have lost to an NFC team and are 10-2. The Saints are 12-0 and two games ahead of Minnesota in the race for home field advantage. This means that the Saints can afford to lose an NFC game and still have a game up on the Vikings.
Or, as Lance Moore put it Sunday night, "Thank u Arizona. Nice little two game lead now in the conference. Who dat!"
Should the Saints lose two of their final four games, all against NFC opponents, and the Vikings win out, Minnesota would win the tiebreaker of 14-2 teams by virtue of a better conference record. This also means that if the Saints win their next three games, they may be able to rest their starters in the Week 17 regular season finale in Carolina.
