The Saints have two picks on Friday night, and appear to have saturated the defensive secondary with the pick of CB Patrick Robinson. Mickey Loomis said they had ruled out kicker and punter in this year's draft, so our expectation is that at least one pick of Friday night will address the defensive front seven.
Its the makeup of that front seven that is the question. The Saints play a base 4-3 in theory, but spent a lot of time in various three-linemen and four-linebacker situations.
It is logical to see the Saints taking a player who can play at any spot in any of Gregg Williams' imaginative front sevens. Other potential positions to address are tight end, interior offensive line, and backup quarterback.
