Saints 2010 schedule highlighted by four primetime games and a Thanksgiving matchup

The 2009 was full of firsts for the Saints - a thirteen game winning streak, an NFC championship, a Super Bowl championship and the top selling merchandise in the league.

The 2010 season will also be a season of firsts - highlighted by the franchise's first Thanksgiving game. The Saints will play in Dallas at 3:15pm on Thanksgiving Day to a national TV audience, one of five such games, also a franchise record.

The Saints, as "leaked" by Commissioner Goodell, open the regular season with a nationally televised game on Thursday September 9, hosting the Vikings.

A tricky ten days of rest precedes the Saints' next game, in San Francisco on Monday Night Football.  The Saints will host Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football on Halloween, and then play on Monday Night Football in Atlanta two days after Christmas.

The Saints' season is segmented by a late bye, in week ten, and ends in the Superdome against the Bucs on January 2.  Two potential snow games appear in December, in Cincinnati and Baltimore, two weeks apart.

The toughest game on the schedule might be December 27 in Atlanta on Monday Night Football.  Coming off what will be a cold, blusty, hard-hitting game in Baltimore on December 19, the Saints head into Atlanta in a game sure to carry playoff weight.

Finally, the Saints are to be wrapped up in the inevitable Brett Favre offseason circus, considering the opening game against the Vikings.
