Saints, Santini head to arbitration

The Saints have invoked a clause in former security director Geoff Santini's contract of employment to bring his lawsuit to arbitration, which is a closed negotiation from a legal standpoint.

An civil arbitrator will rule on Santini's claim for what is essentially lost future income when Santini resigned in the midst of the current storm of allegations of Vicodin theft, abuse and coverup.

This arbitration has no impact on any potential federal or league investigations, nor will the ruling have any impact on any of Santini's evidence against the Saints in any criminal proceedings.
