Darren Sharper heralded his re-signing with the New Orleans Saints on Monday with a twitter message: "To the entire WHO-DAT Nation, guess what? I'M BAACKK!"
The veteran free safety and a spark for the Saints' Super Bowl-caliber defensive resurgence, Sharper signed a new one-year contract to return to New Orleans for the 2010 season.
Sharper, 34, had flirted with the Jets and Jaguars in the months following the Saints' Super Bowl win. He had a team-leading 11 total tackles in the NFC Championship game and two hurries.
His eventual landing with a team in 2010 was delayed because of microfracture knee surgery after the season.
