Gameday: Saints without RB Thomas, SS Harper

The Saints are without RB Pierre Thomas (ankle) and SS Roman Harper (hamstring) today in the Superdome against the Panthers.

Harper will be replaced in the starting lineup by veteran Pierson Prioleau.

UDPATE: Prioleau was injured on a second quarter kickoff return on a legal blindside block by former LSU and Panthers WR Brandon Lafell.  Prioleau was replaced in the lineup by special teamer Chris Reis.

Pierre Thomas will be replaced by Ladell Betts and Chris Ivory.  The Saints also promoted RB DeShawn Wynn from the practice squad, waiving CB Leigh Torrence to make room for him on the roster.  Rookie cornerback Patrick Robinson is active.

K Garrett Hartley is also inactive today for the Saints, and will be unavailable as the Saints hand the placekicking duties to veteran John Carney.

Rookie T Charles Brown, RB Reggie Bush (fractured fibula), rookie DE Junior Galette, TE Tory Humphrey, and LB Anthony Waters are also inactive for the Saints.
