Saints add two more street free agents

The Saints have announced two more offseason futures contract signings today, bringing their widely reported total of offseason street free agent additions to 12.

Both DT Mitch King and LB Ezra Butler were on the Saints' practice squad towards the end of this season.

King, who signed with the Colts out of Iowa as an undrafted free agent in 2009, appeared in three games for the Colts at the beginning of this past season.  An undersized overachiever, King was cut by the Colts and eventually landed on the practice squads of the Rams then the Saints in 2010.

Butler went to camp with the Jets in 2010 but didn't make the team.  Butler's draft stock was sunk in 2008 because of reported habitual marijuana use, and went undrafted out of Nevada.  A month later with the 49ers, he was arrested for marijuana possession and cut in May of 2008.  He played in the UFL in the fall, joined the Jets practice squad, was eventually cut, and signed to the Saints' practice squad before wildcard weekend.
