League, Union to decide if further extension necessary

League and union representatives agreed to extend the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) by one day on Thursday, but for only the purpose of considering the decision to... extend the current CBA by more days.

Friday afternoon will see the two sides decide on a more lengthy delay or to lock out, decertify and hand the entire mess over to lawyers.

Should the two sides fail to eventually reach agreement on a new CBA, the next CBA will be crafted in the courts system.

Drew Brees and eight other players will name themselves on the potentially historic antitrust lawsuit, should the union decertify and its former members sue the league.  Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Logan Mankins, Mike Vrabel, Vincent Jackson, Ben Leber, Brian Robison and curiously, a likely top five pick in April's draft: Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller.

The draft will reportedly happen regardless, it's selections unsignable, in April.
