Only one draft pick remains now that the Saints have inked first round pick Mark Ingram and second round pick Martez Wilson to their rookie contracts.
Top pick DE Cameron Jordan remains unsigned, and tweeted earlier today: "I wanted to have my deal done asap I was hopin for yesterday and now I'm patiently awaiting for the word to get to me."
In the past 12 offseasons, the only first draft picks that reported on time for Saints training camp are Ricky Williams and Robert Meachem. Jordan continues that trend having missed the first three days of practice.
Ingram's new four year contract carries a $7.41 million total contract value, including a $3.89 million signing bonus. He has chosen jersey number #28 because, according to the Saints, "28 is a special number to me. I was picked 28, my dad was picked 28. He wore 82 when he played in the pros."
LB Martez Wilson's new rookie deal is also a four year contract, details unavailable so far. Wilson has been receiving some practice time as the starting strongside linebacker so far in training camp.
