Saints thin in secondary going into Houston

A long list of players not dressed in the Saints secondary tonight will provide a good tryout for a number of young players against the Texans tonight in Houston.

Cornerbacks Tracy Porter, Leigh Torrence, third round pick Johnny Patrick, and Fabian Washington are not dressed for tonight's game, and FS Malcolm Jenkins will not start.

Free agent addition Paul Oliver will start for Malcolm Jenkins at free safety, and second year CB Patrick Robinson will start in place of Tracy Porter across from Jabari Greer.  Behind Robinson and Greer are a trio of unremarkable street free agents: newly-signed CB Quincy Butler, veteran Trumaine McBride, second-year journeyman Terrail Lambert (one INT vs. 49ers), and third year journeyman Mark Parson.

DT Tom Johnson, RB Joique Bell, RB Chris Ivory, seventh round pick DE Greg Romeus, LB Ramon Humber, LB Clint Ingram and LB Ezra Butler are also not dressed for the game.

The Saints will start veteran Zach Strief at right tackle over second year, second-round pick T Charles Brown with the departure of Jon Stinchcomb.
