LB Vilma Out in Bucs Rematch

The Saints will play Tampa Bay for the second time in 22 days today, but this time without defensive team captain Jonathan Vilma because of a left knee injury.

Vilma hasn't practiced in the past two weeks, but played last week against St. Louis anyway.  Vilma missed his first game due to injury as a Saint earlier this season against Houston, Jo-Lonn Dunbar started in his place.  Dunbar, who will start in Vilma place against today, lead the Saints with six solo tackle and assists against Houston.

With Vilma out, Will Herring will also be active for the first time since the week three game against Houston.

And just like against Houston, the Saints will wear throwback jerseys at home today.

Also inactive for the Saints are rookie RB Mark Ingram (heel), rookie DB Johnny Patrick, FB Korey Hall, newly-signed OT Ray Willis, WR Adrian Arrington, DE Jeff Charleston.

Out for the Bucs: WR Sammie Stroughter, DB Myron Lewis, LB Zac Diles, G Jeremy Zuttah, T James Lee, DE Tim Crowder and DT Frank Okam.
