Saints Swap Mack Back For Murphy

Two weeks ago after preseason ended, the Saints waived veteran cornerback Elbert Mack and claimed cornerback Jerome Murphy on waivers from St. Louis.

Today, the Saints essentially reversed that decision.  The Saints cut Murphy on Monday and re-signed Mack on Tuesday.

Mack joined the Saints on June 14 after the team's minicamp.  Mack played 2008-2011 for the Bucs, starting 4 games and appearing in 58 games, recording five interceptions and a touchdown.

With Jabari Greer still less than 100% because of a groin injury and Patrick Robinson victimized by both games so far, the Saints have behind them injured Johnny Patricky and struggling rookie Corey White.
