Injuries Many but Minor at Saints Minicamp

No serious injuries were reported from the Saints' final minicamp. With a little over one month until training camp, several Saints are still being slowed by minor injuries.

CB Kevin Mathis is coming off of a 2001 season where he suffered a series of neck injuries, including a fairly serious neck sprain against Washington in December. Mathis was cleared to resume his football career earlier this offseason, but he is not at full strength yet.

CB Tim Carter (arm) missed a start in the NFL Europe championship game Saturday with a biceps injury. Carter would have started at free safety for the Berlin Thunder.

Rookie CB Keyuo Craver (shoulder), RB Jeff Chaney (calf), rookie RB Ricky Williams (hamstring), DE Jermaine Miles (ankle), OL Jeff Chase (foot), OT Shane Cook (arm), C Bubba Miller (leg) also missed some amount of time in the minicamp.

WR Jerome Pathon returned to the practice field and was not wearing a red medical jersey during the minicamp. Pathon is coming off of ankle surgery last November and has been unable to participate in practice up until now.
