Horn Agrees To Terms With Atlanta: Saint great joins young Falcons squad in need of leadership

In a move both expected and feared by Saints fans, Joe Horn will join the arch-rival Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons, with a new college-minded head coach, a struggling Michael Vick and a host of talented by underacheiving receivers, needed Horn too much to let him leave their Flowery Branch, Georgia headquarters without a deal.

A mentor to Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson and any other young talent on the team since 2000, Horn will take his influence and leadership to a corps featuring first round picks Roddy White and Michael Jenkins. He joins a line of former Saint stars who defected eastward, including Bobby Hebert, Morten Andersen and Brady Smith.

ESPN broke the news Wednesday night that Horn had agreed to terms with the Falcons, where Ashley Lelie's departure has vacated the #87 jersey.
