Saints Bye Weekend

  • The Saints' Starcaps players can't shake the spotlight. In November, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, chaired by California congressman Henry Waxman (D) will hold a hearing on the Starcaps case. The Saints were spared suspension when a Minnesota federal court stayed the suspensions of two Vikings players involved in the Starcaps case, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stayed the suspensions of Saints ends Will Smith and Charles Grant.

  • The local TV ratings for Saints games has been fantastic, drawing the second best ratings in the league through four games. 61% of televisions in New Orleans that were on were tuned to Saints games.

  • An interesting local piece reviewing the career of Packers assistant coach Winston Moss, an assistant coach for the Saints in the Haslett years and deserving of the defensive coordinator job back then. Moss will get a coordinator job soon, we guarantee it.

  • If John Carney is any indication, the Saints' offense is on record pace.

  • Looking back on a record-breaking first week of October in 1984.
