Fifth round pick Matt Tennant, a center from Boston College, has signed his rookie deal a week before training camp starts. The deal wraps up the back half of the Saints' draft class, three out of six picks are under contract.
Tennant was targeted by the Saints in a picks trade that moved the team back into the draft, giving up a fourth round pick in 2011 to the Jaguars.
A three year starter for the Eagles, Tennant signed a four year deal worth just under $1.96 million. He appears to be the heir to center Jonathan Goodwin, who will be 32 at the end of the season.
