Texans pick DT Pressley off practice squad

DT DeMario Pressley, a former fifth round pick of the Saints, was signed off the Saints' practice squad by the Texans.

The Texans, who lost DE Mario Williams to injured reserve, must keep Pressley on their 53-man roster for the remainder of the season.

Pressley was on the Saints' active roster during the title run last season and played in the Super Bowl.  He was cut by the Saints after preseason and retained on the practice squad until now.

Pressley, 6'3, 301, 25, might have been a better fit in a 3-4 defense.  Gregg Williams used him in mostly three-man fronts.

The Saints continue to cycle their practice squad and have replaced him with former Saint tight end Tyler Lorenzen.
