Former Saints and Chiefs offensive tackle Willie Roaf will not be a member of the 2011 Hall of Fame class.
The final cut was made, leaving Roaf out, before the Superbowl.
The voting process reduces a list of 15 finalists to 10, then a vote again reduces the number to five. To be eligible, a players' career must have ended at least five years ago.
Roaf was among the final 10 but not in the five that were selected for enshrinement, plus two senior candidates whose career expired more than 25 years ago.
Roaf, the eighth overall pick by the Saints out of Louisiana Tech in 1993, played nine seasons in New Orleans and four in Kansas City. He was named to the 1990s NFL All-Decade team, and is a member of the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.
